Tannoy Red 15 + Beam Echo DL7-35 & Marantz 7

Tannoy Red 15"와 메칭이 좋은 파워는 전원부가 충실하고 뎀핑펙터가 큰 EL34 PP나 300B PP가 있으나, 경제적인것중 하나는 멕킨 파워중에서 가장 이쁜소리가 난다는 7591 PP 구성인 McIntosh MC225 도 좋습니다. 여기서 " 경제적 " 이라는 말이 중요합니다..  무릇 오디오 소리란 하루종일 듣어도 귀가 아프지않고, 스르르 잠이 든다면 최고의 소리가 아닐까요?  볼륨에 손이 자주 가면 문제가 있습니다..

 

Marantz 7 (#14799 ) 은 최근에 Telefunken 12ax7 다마 6개를 모두 점검하여,  상태 좋은것을 포노단(v1, v2)과 라인단(v4, v5)에 꼽고, 나머지는 케소드 팔로워단(v3, v6)에 꼽앗더니 소리가 한결 힘있고  좋습니다.  

 

CDP는 Meridian G07 과 Marantz 를 쓰고있습니다.

 

 

Ampex 620/692 - 6v6 PP 모노 모노  

 

멕킨 225에 비해서 조금더 부드러우면서 포근한 소리 같습니다.  6v6은 특성상 왜율은 많지만, 2차 고조파를 많이 포함하므로 소리가 부드럽고 유연하여 귀에 부담이 적습니다. 

 

6v6 은 RCA GT, Visseaux , Bendix, GEC ST, Mazda 관을 쳐주며,  ST관(항아리)은 풍성한 저역과 발란스가 좋으나 해상력은 GT관에 비해서 다소 떨어지고, GT관은 직진성과 디테일이 좋으나 풍성한맛은 조금 부족합니다.. 투명관보다는 먹관소리가 더 좋다고도 합니다.

 

Ampex 620/692/2010은 포타블 가방속에 8" 풀레인지와 함께 내장된 엠프로써 출력단은 8옴(10W) 하나뿐 이고, 정류관은 6ax5 입니다

또한, 초단관으로 5879(620/692)와 EF86(2010)을 사용한 두종류가 있으며, 오래된 기기이므로 전해Cap은 4개모두 47uF/450V로 바꾸고, 6v6 출력관의 케소드 바이페스 Cap도 25uF는 너무 적은감이 있으니 50~100uF/50V로 바꿔주는것이 좋습니다..  또 이엠프는 원래 8인치 스피커에 맞게 NFB를 많이 걸어서 소리의 열화가 심한 편입니다, 그래서 33K옴 저항과 1uF/200V Cap을 직열로, 또 여기에 0.033uF/200V Cap을 병열로 묶어서 NFB를 수정했습니다...

 

 

 

 

Beam Echo DL7-35  Power Amplifier 

1950년대 중반에 영국에서 개발된, Mullard 5-20 회로를 사용한 EL34 PP로  

뎀핑팩터(50)가 커서인지 저음이 단단하면서 중고역이 아름답고 쭉- 뻣어 나갑니다.

 

The Beam Echo DL7-35 sounded very upfront, with plenty of pace and rythm. The midrange is more vivid than the Radford STA15. They sound more like a transistor amp with plenty of grip and bass slam but they have the beautiful midrange of valve amps. The channel separation is simply excellent. Highs are crystal clear with lots of air. I think I have praised the DL7-35 enough before the ebay price goes any higher!
